My first approach to those with odd dreams is a general protection around the bed or under the pillow. If that does not assist in the nature of the dreams than the next step should be meditation and divination to decide what is troubling you and how to go about fixing it. This could be very mundane work (non-magickal).
If a general protection does work, then you should plan to bless and clear the entire house of unwelcomed guests (spirits) and negative thoughforms. Most house banishing rituals will suffice. When you are done, maintain a protection on and around your sleeping area at all times as a safety precaution to prevent such things again.
About what you think before you sleep, about it your subconscious, mind, etc .. engaged in all night.
So, it depends what is in your mind before you fall asleep.

Try done a meditation every evening beforre you sleep, about what you want. About what do you like. And when are you dreams really bad, sou about a good higher spiritual being.
