My own style!!!

Hey there guyz I was thinking 4 some time of creating my own style of Esoteric Arts a hybrid between qi gong (energy work) and hermetic magic with a base in psionics to be more precise but while I really want to do it sometimes I feel like they are not meant to fuse them. SO BECAUSE OF THIS HERE COMES MY QUESTION:

Is there any danger in doing this, should I back down or go for it?
