Eclipse

Hey...where I live there is going to be an eclipse this afternoon. I want to take advantage of this rare occursnce by doing a spell during that time. I am sort of new to magic but know almost nothing about esclipses and was wondering if there were any special spells that should/could be cast during an eclipse or if eclipses would only increase the power of a spell. I have a special spell saved up for samhain that is a bit more complex than I'm used to and could use some more power...but I could always do it during the eclipse. Which time would be more beneficial to do it in?

If you are a beginner, you shouldn't even cast a spell yet. You should just work on the basics such as meditation first because most of your power comes from you. The Magick lies within you. Casting a spell with no prior knowledge is very dangerous and could have serious consequences depending on the spell type or ritual. Use caution and be sure you know what you are doing. Besides, the moon has endless power for you to draw upon, and each cycle has it's own special time to cast a special type of spell.

when is the best time to cast a spell...when the moon is at it's fullest. during midnight. i hear different versions. would if it is a basic revenge spell being casted where you just chant without any other materials being needed. is there a specific way that should be done as well
