you might wish to work on creating psi balls to help. start by cleansing the amulet in question, simplest way is to place it in salt water for a few seconds. take it out, pass it through some incense [like cinnamon if its to attract luck] then hold it in your hands, feel energy entering your body, travelling down your arms and pooling in the object. [perhaps even visualize a glow say blue for healing or yellow for friendship] and visualize your desired outcome, while also saying a chant or prayer for what the amulet is for [like protection or wealth] when done you can leave it on your alter overnight to be blessed or on a windowsill to charge in the moonlight.

over time, you could simply charge it and say the chant, but the first time you really should cleanse it first.
