need guidance

I'm new at trying to develop my craft, I've always known I was a witch but I'm also Christian. I felt guilty if I went tword the Wicca side but it is awesome to know I can have both and there are others like me.

Being a Witch and being a Wiccan are two very different things.

Witchcraft is just that, a craft, that has to do with magical practices. You don't have to be of any specific religion to be a Witch. You can be Pagan, you can be Christian, you can be an atheist and still be a Witch.

Wicca, on the other hand, is a very specific religion with very specific beliefs and practices. It is not compatible with being Christian as Wiccan beliefs are very, very different from Christian ones. Sure there are some people who claim to be Christian Wiccans, but they are actually practicing a sort of mish-mash faith that is neither Wiccan nor truly Christian.

If it's simply witchcraft and magic you want to practice then stay with your Christian beliefs and look at Traditional Witchcraft instead of Wicca.

It comes down to core beleifs. Christianity is a monotheist relgion. Meaning one god. Wicca is a polytheist religion. Believing in multiple gods and godesses.

Thank you, that makes sence. I can usually tell when things are going to happen like a second site and my kids think that is scarry, so I know that I have some kind of gift. I just don't know how to focus my energy on it. As I have always been told that it is not christian to believe in witch craft and other things, but now I am glad to know I can be both. Thank you.
