A name

A name means alot in the craft, more than anyone could know. When you have a persons full name you can curse them or heal them which ever way. Thats if you know what your doing every spell needs to be like a contract really. If you dont say what you mean then there can be loop holes every which way.

Ive noticed people in the chat say i can make you float and i can cure you. What makes alot of us who no better mad is they dont even know a persons name then asume things. Plus alot of things people say in chat is just absurd.

Somebody offerd me a mermaid spell and fly in the sky spell. I nearly killed my fingers typing so fast. But back on topic.
You need a name to cast a spell for someone, and without the name your just making a fool of yourself.

Well acctualy, sometimes you don't have to have their name, I cast plenty of spells without having thier full name and the spell works just fine. For example I cast a spell on a friend for a broken heart, I didn't know her whole name, but while I was saying the spell I though of her, and that was good enough for the Goddess. So no it really don't matter if you have their fulls names or not, as long as you know who your casting it on. Blessed Be, Michael aka Gaia's Child.

If you dont have a full name then a date of birth and/or a photo of the person helps focus the energy as well.

A personal item of the person or clippings of hair or nails can sometimes be used in some spells aswell..
(which is why in my country the maori people are very protective of hair clippings and nails)

This is Gypsy magic we are talking about remember that well, they believed a persons name was a thing of power. A child was usually given 3 names at birth before the baby was Christened One that the mother only knew, the second that the mother gave the child to confuse any spirits that would want to do the child harm and the third was given after the Christening as their permanant name.

I agree with starrie you don't always need the name all you need is something that is of the persons.
