Each Egyptian god represents multiple aspects, such as Thoth is known as the Egyptian god of wisdom but he is linked to the practice of magick as well, if that's what your referring to. Due to the sheer number of Egyptian gods it would be difficult to list them all and the best advice I can give is to research the Egyptian deities.
There are many Egyptian dieties, actually too many for me to name and describe. I will give a list and description of some of the basic gods.
Ra was the god of the Sun and the King of Gods. He was the creator of life and ruler of the heavens. At different positions of the sun, Ra had different names. During the Rising Sun, he was Khepri. The rising sun was a symbol of birth and creation. In Egypt, the dead were reborn in the after life during this time. At the Noon Sun, Ra was Ra. Noon time was during zenith, the highest point a celestial form can reach. During the Setting Sun, Ra was Atum. The setting sun was a symbol of the passage that humans take from birth to the after life.
Osiris was the god of the dead, fertility, and ressurrection. He was the husband and brother of Isis. His brother was Set, who he despised. You may think that Osiris, the god of the dead, is evil, but he is not. Many Egyptians thought about their death, being mummified, and enjoying their after life.
Isis is the goddess of magic, fertility, and the Queen of Goddesses. Isis got her powers by tricking Ra. She can give the gift of fertility and protect others. Isis is the wife and sister of Osiris.
Horus is the god of Pharaohs and the son of Osiris and Isis. He is the god of the Pharaohs because Pharaohs identify themselves as Horus, and when the Pharaoh dies, they seem themself as Osiris, Horus' father. Have you heard of the Egyptian symbol, the Eye of Horus? The Eye of Horus was a symbol of protection. There is history beyond that symbol. Horus' enemy is Seth, a man who killed Osirs, Horus' father. Seth killed Osiris to become king. Horus was raised by Isis, his mom, and they stayed hidden in papyrus seeds in the delta of the Nile until Horus grew up. When Horus grew up, he went to war with Seth to get his father's crown and kingdom. War lasted for a very long time. One time, Seth managed to blind Horus by taking out his eye and tearing it apart. However, Thoth, the god of Wisdom, healed Horus' eye. This then became a symbol, and now the Eye of Horus is an amulet or magic charm of protection.
Thoth is the god of wisdom, time, writing, and the moon. Thoth invented Egypt's hieroglyphs and healed the eye of Horus. He was the measurer of earth, counter of the stars, and the keeper and recorder of knowledge. There was a Book of Thoth that had two spells in it. If you read the spell aloud, you can understand every beast and bird, and summon the fishes of the sea. The second spell can bring the dead to life.
Ma'at was the goddess of truth, justice, and harmony. She was the wife of Thoth, since you need wisdom to find truth and justice.
As I said, there are many egyptian dieties for me to explain, so you might have to research.Hope this helps.
