Failed by a"friend"

I have been told that a so called friend is telling that Im a witch and that I have cursed her home and family. I live in a small rural area in the south Witches are not welcome here. Laugh. Laugh enthusiastically, as though it is absurd. And really, that shouldn't be hard, because such dramatic situations are always absurd. "Witch? Really? Come now. I didn't realize my house was made of gingerbread."

Personal experience with this tells me that nobody is going to believe her and that she's just going to get laughed at in the end. I also live in the south in a small town where everyone is in everyone's business. A personal "friend" of mine went around telling people I had cast a spell on him, my mom found out and asked me if it was true. Knowing that she was a devout Christian I asked her, "Do you really believe something like that?"
