Very rarely will I use spoken words when performing magic. I charge the energies available to me with my intent, and they carry it forth. That being said, I do tend to write in theban when working in my grimoire though, and when I do use spoken spells, I speak in english since it's my native language

The best language to use is to not use a language, but to feel, see, and empower whatever it is you are trying to accomplish. Words often get in the way of this. Chanting is a form of meditation where you clear your mind of everything else except for what you are saying thus causing you to feel, see, and empower only that which you are trying to accomplish. Thus, if you must use a language, use the one that allows you to clear your mind. If your natural tongue makes you think of other things when saying the words, use a different language. You can even make one up. The point of the chants, ceremonies, spells is to focus your mind to control the energy of what it is you are trying to accomplish. Once you truly know what it is you are trying to control, you don't need words anymore.

I will continue to work with Enochian magick. And yes, Latin is used a lot in magical practices.

Magick isn't limited to language so if someone did a luck spell in English, the same spell could be done in any other language.

For those that don't use words in their ritual there is a reason why one of the opening statements in the initiations of the G.D. is "By words and images are all powers awakened and reawakened." Never underestimate the power of the spoken word.

Words are all powerful. I work with the Theban and malachim alphabets as well as Hebrew in some rituals/ meditations. You can feel the power especially if you vibrate the words.

I actually use Elder Futhark a lot in my magic. I use them for creating talismans and rituals and the individual letters that compose the spell have to be chanted. The great thing about elder futhark is that every letter has a set of meanings that you can combine with other letters to make a spell.

For example the letter ANSUZ makes an 'a' sound. It can represent divine inspiration, knowledge, communication, and learning. That makes it a great letter to use when doing spells to get better test results or to improve communication with others.

It's definitely a different way of doing things but I've gained excellent results

Some certain "languages" per say are the Theban Alphabet and the Runic Alphabet. The Theban alphabet is used to read old documents. The Runic Alphabet are used on runes which is a form of divination. These languages are not spoken, sadly, only in written form.
