It truely depends on your religon for demons and what they are and shspe.... so who knows what they look like unless you actually saw one.

If you look into the history of angels and demons you will find that many are actually deities. Even with angels, the "el" at the end of the name of many means "god". Samael for instance means poison god. He is consider an angel in some texts and a demon in others, to demonstrate the ambiguity of the definition. Only later were these beings brought down lower than a god in heirarchy when monotheism became popular. Obviously if a group believes in only one god, they couldn't accept others as gods as well.

As Eliphas Levi states, names such as Michael, Raphael, etc are titles not names. When you study the grimoires, you'll find that they have many spirits which work under them. So when you call on such names, you are essentially calling on the group that is defined by the title meaning, and will get a representitive/spirit that works under the being within their special field of work, instead of the top being themselves--who's presence is extremely, sometimes unbearably strong when they're in their full glory. I've had the honor of experiencing it once...it was incredible, but not enjoyable. Very physically uncomfortable. So I don't mind when I get a representative. Much easier to work with.

When working with any spirit it's name is often more of a description than an actual "name" as we know them to be. When we look at the meanings of names, you can see that the original purpose was to describe what we hoped for, for our children. A name might have also changed to describe what that person did, was, etc. With spirits, this tradition has changed little, but the modern practitioner simply lacks the understanding of the languages to immediately grasp the meaning behind the word used for the name (in most cases).

Demons dont always have to be involved in religion because they are spirits just like us. People believe in diffrent things and people have diffrent opinions on diffrent things. i believe that demons are fallen angels. "demon comes from the greek name "daemon" it meeans it a spirit between gods and us human beings. i believe some one them are guardian. the "dead" of the golden age so called became daemons, on the other hand daemons could be lower than many diffrent types of gods. i also believe that a daemon are nature spirits, and they could be both mortal and gods.

How do you guys know if demons are real or not? It could very possibly be all in your heads. Just like it could of very much have been all in the heads of those who started Christianity or Satanism or any other of the thousands of belief systems. Could of possibly been thousands of people with good imaginations.

Because im a medium and iv experienced what a demon is like.

But how do you know if what you experienced isn't just something that was brought about by the brain?
