you shouldn't try getting one if you don't know what you're doing, or if you're new to magic. you can do a summoning, or just ask for a demon to join you. demons are tricky creatures, they're not all evil, but they will do whatever to get their way. they won't watch over you because you ask nicely, they'll do it if they see some gain for themselves.

an example would be Death Note [gonna go with the live action movies] Light thinks Ryuk [a shinigami] is his friend and is there to do whatever he wants, but when he needs him, Ryuk betrays Light. Ryuk tells Light he was only with him because he was entertaining, and now Ryuk's bored... that and Light kept feeding Ryuk, but the whole reason Light found a Death Note was because Ryuk was bored.

point being, you need to know what you're doing, and be cautious around demons. [and i know a shinigami is not a demon, but a Japanese god/spirit of death i was making a point]

thank you so much for your help, but i really want one.
i have been thinking in buying a Ouija board and try that way. don't know but something says for me to buy one, like something in you, you know what i mean.i am always going for it, but at the last minute i chicken out and don't buy it.

could be curiosity or could be something wanting to communicate. while Ouija Boards aren't evil, they can be dangerous because spirits can tell you to do things, drain your energy, and if destroyed, can be released into your home through it. a pendulum or a black mirror to skry might be a better idea for someone starting out.

if you're dead set on having a demon by your side, research fully the type of demon you are interested in, know it's strengths, its weaknesses, how to summon and dis-spell it. most importantly, you should look into shielding and protection to be safe.

Summoning is an advanced use of magick. I suggest no newbie, or even beginners try to summon anything. it can be dangerous if you're not experienced enough.

Indeed summoning is an advanced act and can go wrong if you do not know what your doing and do not have strong control over that and yourself. I have worked with demons and in demonology for a very long time now. Some like the ancient Greeks think that we choose a daemon before we are born and it helps guide us down our paths.

Wanting one because you think its cool will honestly only get you into trouble as i have noticed from observation or get you nothing at all.

I would suggest that you do some research and studying on demons and their history before taking any steps forward on this. Though they arent entirely evil, they sometimes arent entirely helpful either or compliant.

Ridiculous, simply ridiculous.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Doe, in regards to summoning or anything you wrote there. And in regards to Odin, you are way off, and I recommend you read up more on him before saying things like that. I know of individuals who have gone through painful sacrifices for Odin (it's traditional to mimic his hanging from Yggdrasil) but I've never come across an experienced Odinsman or woman who has had to give an eye. That's a bit ludicrous. Bac to the original topic at hand: Neko and Bane did a good job at explaining some things.

I found a death note a week ago and I am wondering what to do with it. The only thing I know is that it works. I've tested it four times. I can't seem to get any sleep at night because of a strong feeling of an unwelcomed... guest. I don't know what to do. Is it a shinigami? I know you will probably think i'm lying but i'm not. I swear. I need help. Can anyone help me please?
