This is a good site for learning about magick from other practitioners but not the best site for spells.
Many people believe that a chant or a prayer or a hand motion will make something work, real magick is much more complex and requires allot of work to achieve success.
Yes, some spells, very few, do work but you need to use your head and root out the fake ones.
i suppose, but as a seriouse practitioner the first thing one must acomplish the basics before casting spells so that questions like these can be answere through learning.
basics consist of:
-meditation
-color correspondence (helps with candle magic)
-moon phases
-visualization
-four directions correspondence: north, south, east, and west
-elements correspondence: earth, air, water, fire, sometimes spirit depending on the path
-herbs magick properties
once you learn and undertand most of this stuff then you will get the idea of how it works. and you would be able to tell what spells are good and what spells are complete bull :)
The incantations, candles, moon phases, etc. are all simply tools to enhance the channeling of magic. I use mostly my mind and project as much magic as I can and then watch the results.
I believe that the thought, Belief, and doing of the magick is enough. although it would help tremendously to have knowledge of Meditation and Visualization as well as moon phases and the elements
Maybe you just aren't concentrating enough. Perhaps you didn't say the words right or didn't have the right supplies. There are many variables contrubuting to the success or fail of a spell.
Supplies are not so important, and pronunciation is not the most important feature either. Truly, the most important part is focus, and this is why it's suggested that a person be good with meditation before trying spells.
