Judging by the 'type' of spells you seem to want to cast there can be 'many' reasons for the failure. My first idea would be that your 'not' suited for it as well as using magic for purely 'evil' purposes. Many if not all of the spells here have 'one thing' wrong so that the 'real' casters 'know' what the fault is and 'adjust' accordingly. Magic in the wrong hands is yes 'very' deadly. To hand a child a knife and expect it to 'not' hurt itself is asking for trouble.

Speaking as a Level 60 Wizard, I have some very useful information on this subject. Here is the reason your magic spells would fail:

BECAUSE MAGIC ISN'T REAL

Come on dude, it's 2012! You can't seriously be dumb enough to buy into this BS. If someone had real "magic powers," there's a million-dollar prize waiting for you at the James Randi Educational Foundation (http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge/challenge-faq.html). Of course, you would be required to actually demonstrate that power, which you cannot, and no one ever has, because there is no such thing.

Don't waste your life with this nonsense. You can't solve your problems this way. At best, you're wasting your time. At worst, you're aggravating delusional or schizophrenic tendencies in yourself.

Look up "confirmation bias" on Wikipedia. Think about it the next time you get the idea that some random coincidence is the result of some supernatural force.

Gary why don't you go back to your gameboy or what ever you play with and becomethat legendary 70th level wizard, If you had some real world experience besides the sheltered life you now leadyou would realize that there is more to heaven and earth than meets the eye. I've seen my mother save lives that modern medicines and doctors could not cure or heal so in a way you are far beyond your league, so dothe site the favor and leave. Remember the site has many knowlegeable people who can do many things you consider fake. I am using civilized wording to express my utmost disgust with such a piccune mind, I know what I can and am able to do and it effects the real I live in not the pretend life you are living..... So before you insult people who are trying to learn, remember life is what you make it and I can foresee a very small world for you I feelsorry for you.

rickyy these spells are harmful, and you should not be casting them karma will come after you!!! and you will pay for casting a spell with the intent to harm another. you are obviously quite young and i hope you will learn better coping mechanisms then to take such a wonderful spirituality and using it to harm others. real witches live by a creed to harm none. keep casting these spells and you are going to end up bringing more harm to yourself then anyone else.

Hey Gary...why are you assuming people here are ignorant just because YOU haven't seen any evidence? Are you making a scientific judgment based on anecdotal evidence? It sounds very much to me like you are. You can't judge the existence/lack of something entirely on your own experiences. Very unscientific.

I know what a confirmation bias is. I do have a college degree.

However, I've also seen things that can't be explained by psychology. If you want a demonstration, I'd be happy to give one. I don't throw fireballs or anything else fancy...but I can demonstrate my abilities quite easily. Done it many times.

The truth is, anything we call "magick" is really just a science we haven't fully explained yet. In this case, some things that we know work we still are trying to figure out how they work. Truthfully, a lot of physics, chemistry and mathematics is STILL like that. Your closed-mindedness reveals a basic ignorance which is sadly very common in the world today. Go do your research and don't give into your OWN confirmation bias (yes, if you read about it, you will discover they can go BOTH ways here...trust me, you're working with a large one yourself).

Contact me if you're interested in that demonstration.
(or maybe you just don't want to be proven wrong)

The opposite of close-mindedness is not credulity. If I told you I was a were-squirrel, and that some nights I sprout a giant squirrel tail and foot-long incisors, then roam the moonlit wilderness with an insatiable drive to bury nuts for the winter, you would have to be incredibly gullible to believe me in the absence of extremely convincing proof.

Claiming that magic powers are real is an even more absurd claim than my were-squirrel story. If magic actually existed, it would play a huge role in society. Such a remarkable phenomenon would elicit an enormous body of study, documentation, and evidence. But that hasn't happened, because supernatural claims haven't borne out any basis in reality. Generations of investigation have discerned chemistry from alchemy, as millions of curious minds seek to identify what works, and what doesn't work. And magic? It doesn't work.

The reason you can't take a class on magic at your local university is because it's not real. There's no reproducible effect for anyone to learn, teach, and practice. All you'll find in a site like this is fictional folklore, make-believe, and insignificant anecdotes attributing supernatural significance to mundane coincidences ("I tried to cast a spell to make it rain - it didn't work, didn't work, didn't work, and then one day it rained! Clearly, this shows I magically made it rain!")

Go ahead and have fun believing whatever you want as long as there's no harm in it, but irrational beliefs can cause damage: People with schizoid tendencies often get worse when they start obsessing over imaginary things. Someone who puts faith in "alternative treatments" can hurt themselves or those in their care if they turn down real medicine in favor of hogwash. Anyone who trusts in fantasy when they need real-world solutions to their problems is doing themselves harm.

Rogelio, it is hilariously ironic that you would say I lack real-world experience and am living in a "pretend" world, when I'm the one advocating for belief in physical reality, while you honestly believe in MAGIC. If you actually had access to powers that could reproducibly cure disease, you should be out spreading and using them. You'd be rich, and a lot of sick people could get healthy. But if you can't actually demonstrate they're real... well, did I mention I'm a were-squirrel? By the way, that's not how you spell "picayune."

Sarafiel, I mailed you about that demonstration through the site days ago, and haven't heard back. I'm not going to keep checking the mailbox here, but you can reach me at garyschlacter@gmail.com. (I won't give out more personal information than that.) However, if you could REALLY demonstrate a supernatural ability, why on earth aren't you going after the MILLION DOLLAR PRIZE?

Most importantly - rickyy, the original poster - You're trying to cast "death spells"? Are you seriously trying to KILL someone? That's attempted murder. You really should talk to someone about whatever is making you so angry, and stop trying to hurt people!
