This thread was more than enough to make me laugh, and that's about it. Why haven't they made a "fluffsofmagic.com" site yet. :)

Peace

I dont even know what that is. Besides, I simply connect knowledge, unlike many who simply look at something face value.

Why do all of these threads get so polluted and off topic?

Your DNA does not change. Your chromosomes are rather locked into place, for the most part. If one is off, you are often stillborn, or develop some disorder. A single variation in chromosome can mean the difference in being "normal" or having autism or Downs Syndrome. By all means, please change your chromosomes/dna and prove me wrong, the result would likely make such ranting more excusable.

Changes in the body are easy to manifest in that psycho-somatic symptoms are more readily achieved. A positive attitude aids healing. Calming your mind can slow your heart beat. Fortifying yourself mentally, flexing your muscles properly, etc. can help you stave off cold despite normal exposure issues, even when you otherwise appear to be sitting still. In this way, a sugar pill can help alleviate pain, or monks and members of the special forces have taught themselves to endure extreme physical conditions.

However, physical alterations of the body stop there. You will not change form. Your cardiovascular system alone is so ridiculously complicated that a change to such without understanding the ramifications would likely cause clotting, cardiac arrest, death, and other severe symptoms. And this is only one of the major systems of the body, completely ignoring the results of inattention to your nervous system, your respiratory system, your endocrine system, your skeletal system, etc.

Any change to the body can be fatal. This is why they make you, or your parent, sign a waiver every time you have even minor dental surgery done.

Perhaps -you- should go back to the basics.

Much for the same reason, vampires, demons, werewolves, and other such nonsense does not exist in the physical world. And, for that matter, in the astral world they are largely just people seeing what they want to see in spirits and energy.

Everyone wishes the world was more exciting. And when you see qualities of yourself that you associate with your favorite myths and legends, sure, it's easy to say "Hey, I'm a lot like that! I must be one!" And as you say that, you will develop mental traits and mental and physical habits that more closely resemble the creature in question. But why? Because you are subconsciously, and consciously, adapting yourself to that which you admire.

This is basic psychology.
This is basic magic.
This is basic science.
This is basic common sense.

Not really. Seeing as you cannot physically change form (read Awake's recent comment please), werewolves do not exist.

As for vampires, I very much doubt that there is anything running around in the world, biting people's necks and masquerading as human. Firstly, it's not possible to cover up such things since the original vampire was a beast of bloodlust, caused by improper burial. These beings were uncontrollable and quite monstrous, and usually went after their relatives first. If they did exist now, you would be seeing massive casualties every single day with people with ripped out necks and no blood in their bodies.

So, if there are vampires out there on this plane, and it isn't figurative, I'd say the world just turned into an...asinine place to live. But I suppose everyone wants to be mass murdering monsters very badly. :)
