The Muses in Greek mythology, poetry, and literature, are the goddesses who inspire the creation of literature and the arts. They were considered the source of the knowledge, related orally for centuries in the ancient culture, that was contained in poetic lyrics and myths. The compliment to a real woman who inspires creative endeavor is a later idea

Calliope-Epic Poetry

Clio-History

Erato-Love Poetry

Euterpe-Song and Elegiac poetry

Melpomene-Tragedy

Polyhymnia-Hymns

Terpsichore-Dance

Thalia-Comedy

Urania-Astronomy

My personal testaments:

I myself love the muses, and connect with just about all of them except Clio, because I cannot stand history, and care nothing about it. Urania, I don't really connect with because I don't really do astronomy

Terpsichore, Thalia, Calliope, and Erato are my main go-to Muses, because I love dancing, and I can make people laugh easily, not to mention, I am a good poet.

I think of them sort of like my sisters(not blood sisters, but like best friend sisters), and sometimes, i'll just sit and talk to them via thoughts. They never answer back though, but I know that they are listening.

As for Polyhymnia and Euterpe, i'm kind of on and off with them because, I can sort of sing, but I love to sing. I'm not the most awesome singer, but I like to think that I get the job done.

So everyone, which ones do you connect with?

Hmm, the ones I connect with most would probably be Calliope, Euterpe and Polyhymnia. I love epic poetry, and poetry in general. Euterpe, I feel connected to because I am a musician myself. I play 7 instruments, write music and perform live, so I'd say music plays a very huge role in my life. And Polyhymnia because I see hymns as a cool way to show respect in religious services, using praise as it's main component.
