I'm new and there is something wrong with this site...
YOU CAN'T FLY. No one has ever achieved that!
So why are people putting fake spells on... Well, I don't even know if
Magic IS real.

You're quite right.

Part of the problem is that in attempting to allow people freedom of faith and their own belief in magic, it becomes difficult to simply disallow delusion.

As such, we can only debate it intelligently and hope that others make an informed decision.

Of course you don't know if magic is real. Too many books, too many movies, too many TV shows. Perhaps it was better when magic was "secret". So, does real magic exist? Yes, it does; but not in the way most young people now think of it. Magic is all around you, and it is as natural as breathing. If you learn to meditate, to visualise, to connect with the enormous energy of the Earth, you will find magic. At the least it will improve your life, the way you think. At best it will open doors you never knew were there!

Nobody ever said magic wasn't real. However you forget that in the past the concept of "imagination" was somewhat obscure. Imagination could very well be the same as visions, dreams, prophecy, or magic. I give you the example of the wonderful work of fiction... The Divine Comedy. Quite possibly the first science fiction trilogy.

I suggest exploring history before discussing what is "real" or not. I'm rather tired of people justifying all varieties of magical fantasy with "because they did it in the past!"

I agree, Awake.

Eruedrithe, you'll find a lot of fluffy spells on here- You just have to sort the wheat from the chaff and get used to it. Yes, it does get annoying, but at the end of the day, trust the ones with actual knowledge and experience.

Magick is real, misconceptions about magick are not. If you know how to use it properly, and actually know its history, you will find its very real.

It strikes me that this site is a life education in that it is reflective of living. That is, in 'real life', we are not presented with just truth and wisdom. We are constantly bombarded with conflicting messages, predjudice, arrogance, ignorance, tricksters, and so on.

If you want to survive in this life, you have to exercise a certain ability of judgement, discernment, intelligence, and discernment. Why would a website be any different?

For the young and inexperinced, this is a good place to learn such life skills. You will find out for yourself who and what to trust. No one ever promised any of us that life would be easy. This is life!
