As for the fluff, I agree, a lot of the spells are terrible, a few are nice and the rest are plagiarized.
I will be honest, I was going to pass this site up until I started to read the forums and realized that there were a lot of people who needed some serious guidance. And I thought I'd give the knowledgeable ones here a hand at straightening things out. I'm glad to hear that there is progress to be had. This site is overdue for a cleanup.
I personally find a lot of fluff spells are in the ' Trick Spells ' category. For example, spells such as: ''A spell to make you FLY!'' or a ''Spell for Invisibility''. How stupid do they think we are? There is no spell that can make you invisible, fly, etc..
Another thing that annoys me is spells such as ''Become a VAMPIRE.'' and ''Spell to be a mermaid!''.
Besides, writing your own spells tends to work better anyway , as this makes them more personal, and you have a better magickal connection and flow.
This is just a thought, but what about live chat sessions in a special new area that would tutor beginners and newcomers on how to make spells if they are interested...sure, there are plenty of "guides", but would you rather have a live tutor that can clarify things?--or just a page to read, get goggle eyes at and try to figure out?
To be honest, some of the spell categories are frustrating as well. There are "trick spells" and the like, but not "divination" or other common traditional practices.

That is because divination is not a spell. Divination is a separate aspect of magic from spell work.
This site's main focus is spells of magic just as the title states. It has evolved into a place where one can find all magical knowledge and some fictitious garbage such as role play. It is sad but there are a lot of people out there that magic is just play or a fad. It frustrates those of us that have magical lives and have our faith wrapped in many magical aspects. The thing to remember is not to let it get to you. Do your best to inform and add positive energies to the site. If you think the fluff spells out number the real spells start adding some spells you have written that are "real".
If you dont like the fluff spells, just write your own. If you want to share them, put 'tested, and successful.' or something like that to show that it isnt a fluff spell. Of course, not everyone will believe it, due to the amount of fluff spells already on the site, but it may be more effective rather than just to leave it.
