Your opinion

Hi, I was online and I was redrafting Wicca. And this Christian says that Wicca is evil and he also said that many wiccans claimed to talk to angels and good spirits, he said that these angels and spirits are really satans followers that disguised themselves as good spirits and they want to bend your will toward them. Okay, I know that Wicca isn't "evil" and I know that in Wiccan religion satan doesnt exist. But what this guy is saying makes sense...(in a christian perspective) but it really bothers me. What do you think of this? What do you think that I should have said??? Please write your opinions!

Yes, I believe sometimes spirits have other intentions than what they flat out tell you, but to call a spirit 'evil' is to judge it on a 'extremes' scale. I think that some christians say these things simply because that is what they were brainwashed into thinking. That is my personal opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

I probably would have just flat out told him that. He may not get it at first, but once the gears in his brain turn for a little bit, he may begin to understand.

The annoying thing about christianity though, is that the religions guidelines make it nearly impossible to leave because of the "that's what they want you to think" mentallity.

This is pretty common in Christianity, it ho they villafy everyone that supposedly talks with spirits, ancestors, whatever. You also need to understand the the Catholics wanted to make their religion the only path to communion with God and your dead ancestors. Can't have others claiming to be the same. The history of the Catholic church has been about destroying all competition and gaining power. The church has never been anything more than a business, a multinational corporation, utilizing whatever cut throat tactics were allowed at that time.

Many people are narrow minded, especially those who are religious, they don't like the idea of someone being different to them. Wicca isn't evil, magic itself isn't evil, what can be evil about helping someone.

I would have said to each their own, your not harming anyone by being a Wiccan, the true evil are those who went on a crusade killing anyone who didn't believe.

Don't let it get to you, you know yourself your living a life that you want to live.

there are spirits that transform into good spirits( evil spirits.. )
but in chuch everything out of the plains of christianism and generally monotheism thinks that is evil. I think there is good and bad in magick.. i personally follow celtic paganism and doing white magick and worship only gods that make people happy ( like fertility gods , ) generally good spirits..
but church also finds it evil... thats why i believe they are close minded.. so thats why i followed nature's way :)

I think that people's beliefs tend to depend on how they are raised. Sometimes all somebody's life they are told something and then they believe it as fact, but I also think that there are some Christian,thanks for creating the forum. Maybe one day Wiccans/Pagans and Christians can come to understand eachother.
