Ok,I'm not insulting. But what does this 'religion' represent? It's name is terrifying to me,because in almost all religions Satan is an evil god,spirit,being,whatever...I might be wrong,but...If you're following an evil god,spirit,being,whatever...How come you say you're good or something!?
By the way,I'm not insulting,I'm barely uneducated about this, because I've been fearing satanists my whole life and never knew the real truth.

The Satan Anton speaks of isn't "Satan". And Satan has been portrayed as evil, as have demons for various reasons.

This is The Satanic Bible written by Anton LaVey in 1969. If you read it it will help you to understand this religion better. >.O

Wow... painfully long debate.

Here are my thoughts. Dont ecxpect anyone to agree or even disagree.

With offense to none...every organised religion in the world - Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Satanism (new age and old), modern wicca, buddhism, you name it... all of them have been designed by man to control other men.

To me there is nothing more evil than the concept of religion, itself. Every religion uses certain laws of the universe, twists them a bit to create their own laws, which are then enforced on to people through fear. And under fear, people will do anything, its what one would term as mass mentality. And once a religion manages to control the masses by instilling fear, it can loot them off their money or worse make them even kill one another.

Throughout history, religions seem to have caused the most damage and continue to do so. Its either Muslims v/s Christians, Jews v/s Muslims, Romans V/s Someone else, Jews v/s Christians and now new age satanism v/s new-age paganism.

It's almost like a pattern, a philosopher comes up with a new or radical thought that appeals to certain people. He dies and a bunch of turnip heads around him turn him into God, or his philosophy as the gospel truth, (sorry about getting repitive), on which rules and regulations are imposed along with a fear or threat to those who dont follow it. To me...Religion is nothing but the politicalisation (for want of a better word) of a thought or an idea that appealed to a bunch of people in order to control them.

This is exactly why I publicly denounced the religion I was born in, by stating reasons and pulling out flaws on a public forum, which of course no one liked.

I'm not an atheist. I do believe that there is a divine power and energy that surrounds us. I will call out to that power and use that energy when I need to. I believe in life after death, reincarnation, and all things spiritual. I believe that every soul is a magician.

But to follow an organised religion, visit any church, temple, mosque, synagogue or join a coven.... Never! Not in this lifetime atleast
