alchemy

i know what alchemy basically is which is the transmutation of base metals into gold and make the philosophers stone but more then that its clouded in mystery. so could someone explain more of it and whats involved and some of the succeses that its caused that isnt known to the public... sorta like buso renkin (means weapons alchemy, not refering to the anime/manga but its cooler to say that XD) and i dont want posts saying im having dillusions from anime, also i heard alchemy is dangerous so could you guys say how for that to?

Alchemy is basically the heart of Chemistry with the use of elements, its science that often has a mixture of magick. It is based on different chemicals and bases, a little difficult..

ok but whats included in doing it and what are some extrodanary outcomes of it that were hidden that not many people know like how homunculus really are and anything else

Theres also an Anime called "Full Metal Alchemist which is much better then Buso Renkin or whatever that anime is. FMA ROCKS!!!!!!

As to how Homunculi really ARE created is more of a mystery to us.
The only thing that is the same between the theory and an anime is that they are meant to be recreations of people who have died, and that they could never succesfully be created.

And if a Homunculus has been created in the past, there is no physical evidence of it today. There are only theories and sketches of those who believed they could be made.

Yes, alchemy is very complicated.
Pretty much, alchemy nowadays in a bunch of scientists messing with chemicals, like it was back in the 16 and 17th centuries.

Too complicated to learn in a few days. It requires someone who is pure of Heart and soul, no sins whatsoever, as well as someone who is not looking for personal gain through the art.

alchemy is about going deep inside yourself and to change your soul from lead to gold. lol

Alchemy historically is at the roots of not only chemistry
but physics,biology,astronomy,psychology and modern medicine.
All of science includeing the use of modern agraculture had it's
roots in Alchemy.As knowledge grew and more advancements and
discoveries where made people began to specialize in arieas
of research and so it became catagorized.Language and writting
was seporated from mathamatics and philosophy,Botiny and so on.
The strange symbols that we use today to form words and sentences
evolved from the alchemests.Those strange sounds we make with
our mouths today to make words have much of their roots in alchamy.
As for ethics,laws and moral values they also have roots in alchemy.
Alchemy is discovering the universe around us and how we relate
to the universe we are in.How we effect it and how it effects us.

In modern times the average child has more knowledge of the universe than they had in the early times of alchemy.

Though their knowledge was limited they where the pioneers of
the world we live in today.

alchemy is NOT something to be screwed around with! there are some very basic truths behind fma, and then there's the shit arakawa-sensei made up. it is very entertaining, but mostly fiction nonetheless.

I am an alchemist in odd ways... potion making and such. But it does help to get a tutor.
