yes.and which definition are you refering to. the 15 century term involving speakign with the dead to learn something or control an outcome,the version known to the exmortalis which can summon the dead,or the most common version which involves repelling and creating them.
also a good word of warning before even considering necromancy you have to be okay with the following...
1.grave robbery-illegal in all countries and states
2.murder-illegal
3.necrophilia(yes sleeping with the dead)-very illegal
4.masochism in it's most brutal and disgusting forms.

Necromancy is the art of communing with spirits for the sake of knowledge. Sleeping with a dead body, murdering, grave robbing etc. isn't necessary. You're simply speaking with a spirit for knowledge, more specifically knowledge for the future considering the fact 'mancy' means divination. Now if your interested in that please don't rape corpses thats just an insult to death. Necromancy has about 4 forms. "azraelism" or having a relationship with death (azreal being the angel of death). Divination with sprirts. "vampiric" should be obvious. The last one would be your death spells and such.
