I'm pretty new to the practice but I have a nice book on correspondences

Llewellyn's Complete Book of Correspondences: A Comprehensive & Cross-Referenced Resource for Pagans & Wiccans

It shows you what colors, candles, symbols, herbs etc. are linked to what purpose/intention and cross-references both ways, easy to find what you're looking for. If you want to get it, I recommend it. If not and you're looking for something in particular I'm happy to look something up for you. :)

Keep looking. I'm open minded enough to say there is a way to do everything, if not, invent the way. Shamanism may be something you want to look into for time travel. There are plenty of spell methods out there for finding information from the past. I don't know if any sending spells can be used on the past or communication spells. I'm sure there are many areas of magic where people do try to time travel in one form or another - ie. see the past etc.
