I usually give Yinepu (one of the transliterations of Anubis' Egyptian/Kemetic name) bread, water, various kinds of liquor (particular he seems to like hard liquors like bourbon, specifically honey bourbon), various meats (particularly red meats), as well as rice, pasta, etc. All of these things, except for the liquor, are bought as regular things I eat and make for myself. I offer them to Yinepu (and other Kemetic gods/Netjeru), then revert the offerings back to me. This means that after they are offered I then eat the offerings (once an appropriate amount of time has passed). Not everyone does, but in ancient Egypt/Kemet this is how it was done. Unlike an offering to the dead/Akhu, the Netjeru give back something/a blessing whenever they partake of the essence of your offerings.

Wesir (or Osiris) didn't usurp Ra's established order or ma'at as it's called. Truthfully Wesir didn't live long enough to really usurp anything; he dies shortly after his very young marriage to Aset (Isis). However, he did sit on the throne of Kemet (Egypt) and it is through him, Aset, and Heru-sa-Aset (Horus, son of Isis) that order and kingship (which is an important part involving order) is established. It is due to Ra giving Aset his ren/true name that kingship is passed on to her son, Heru-sa-Aset. At the same time, Shu, Geb, and Wesir (in that order) ran the kingship before Heru-sa-Aset, and again order and kingship was established.

I'm interested in particular about learning about Bast/Bastet and what kind of offerings she would like and how to build an altar for her.
