Yes I know in my post, I said that wouldn't make any sense.


But there are no female demons. There are no female angels, there never have been. God created three types of angels. Cherubims, Sepraphims, and the Archangel.


Angels were created not born. In the bible humans are called Sons of men, but angels are never called Sons of angels. The word angel means messenger. Angels were created with free wills to serve God.


Fallen angels are known as demons, who had relations with human women. The offspring were then called nephilims, meaning giants. Demons mated with humans in an attempted to pollute eve's bloodline, preventing the birth of a sinless messiah. The Lord said I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth-men and animals, and the creatures that move along the ground, and the birds of the air, for I am grieved that I have made them. (Genesis 6:5-7). So God then flooded the Earth killing everything and everyone including the nephilim,not including the creatures on the ark. (Genesis 6:11-22).


But, in a way you are correct, there were nephilim after the flood, however they were not the same ones, they were born after the flood. (Genesis 6:4). But they were also destroyed by the Isrealites during their invasion. (Joshua 11:21-22).


God then placed those demons who had mated with humans in the "abyss". However not all demons were put in the "abyss", since not all demons chose to do it.


But even according to medieval folklore a Succubus is a male demon that takes the form of a female, to have "sex" with human males in their dreams. The word Incubus comes from the latin word meaning nightmare.

Explain Lilith the First WIFE of Adam them, who is said to now be the Wife of Satan. She is said to be a demon, and in the encyclopedia of demons as well as several other texts there are female demons mentioned constantly.

Just to clear it up for you Siimoonee what I posted was just some of the different versions of the myths that surround Succubi and Incubi and the one which I think you may have got your idea from that a Succubus is a male entity pretenting to be a female..but I think you should look up the definition of Mythology!

Lilith??? From Jewish folklore? Lilith to my understanding was where the myth of Succubus came from, she refused to lie beneath Adam. The word Succubus means to lie beneath. And to kill babys at birth. She is said to kill babys around their birthbirth days.


Adam in hebrew means man, just as Eve in hebrew means woman. They were given those names in the bible for a reason, Adam and Eve were the only humans in the garden, had Lilith been the first she would have been called Eve in the bible.

I'm sorry Opal I was thinking that what you had said was giving an example of what you believe, not that it was where you thought I got my idea from.

Silvervixen, we can go back and forth on this topic all day but I am done. I respect that your beliefs are different then my own. I see hardly anyone on this site shares my beliefs. What I believe may or may not be true, although to me my beliefs are very and thats why I believe them, just as what you believe is to you.

There can be female Succubi

Not all of them are Male!!

Prehaps it would be clearer to suggest that the beings we know as demons have taken on essences of Male or Female, for one reason or another. As our souls are, they exist as pure energy and are beyond gender. But some of them are capable of taking the essence that suits their self perception.

Angels do not do this, though they tend to manifest themselves as male insofar as they manifest a gender.

I personally dislike the popular interpretations the faiths have put forth, because I feel they are terribly biased and vilify that which they do not wish to understand. Every hero needs a villain in their eyes.

That being said, I do not understand why we are arguing semantics about beings that are existant in ways we do not totally comprehend, nor have a full accounting of their ways or history. It seems, to me, that alot of arguements lately (or debates) stem from the idea that only one idea can be correct. Prehaps we all need to attempt to be less jaded and more willing to tolerate the views of others? I know I have to remind myself of this on occasion, and its not a failing to realise you are being overly harsh or hard with your interactions.
