New Priestess Statement

'I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting to receive this honor of leading our coven, at least not so soon.

So, I wanted to start by thanking MikaG for taking Christian Wiccans and bringing it to where it is now, bringing in new members and new opportunities for the witches, wiccans, and pagansof Spells of Magic.

Now that I have taken up leadership of Christian Wiccans, my main priority is increasing activity. For the past several years, the Christian Wiccans has been an inactive coven and I hope to change that. I would like to see our members sign into Spells of Magic at least once every month (on our coven description, it says once a week is required, but I understand it's not always possible). If a member has been inactive for a month or longer, I will be sending a message to make sure everyone is okay and if there can be a compromise for activity. If I do not hear back within 30 days of sending the message, that person will be removed from the coven. They are more than welcome to rejoin so long as they adhere to the coven rules.

I also realize the forums may not be the best way to encourage activity among our members, so I'm suggesting we branch out to either Facebook or Discord or another social platform to better know each other on a less formal setting. I'm open to recommendations where you think we can accomplish this, but I want this to work in conjunction with Spells of Magic

And finally, I've noticed Zoom has had growing popularity and this brings me to my next point. I would love to hear from everyone, your stories and experiences and also learn from you as well. If you want to do a session on a topic, send me a message at least two weeks in advance of when you want to hold it and at what time in your time zone. Video and audio is not required for Zoom, so if you are uncomfortable showing your face or speaking, there are ways around it.

Alternatively, if we go the Discord rout, they have recently added video calling to their servers, and I have more experience there, as when I was part of Dark and Light several years ago, they used Discord to keep their coven active, and I've run servers on Discord before. Again, if we move to a social platform, the Spells of Magic forums will not be abandoned, as we must maintain at least monthly activity on here.
