making a table walk?

okay so this is something that has mystified me a lot. my grandmother and some of her family and i think some of my grandfathers women relatives were witches. i was not in a tight knit family and actually somethings i just 'knew' or 'understood'. how i don't know. when i was little i would overhear about how deidra (grandfathers mom) was 'something else' like she was unspeakable? another time i have heard 'she made a table walk!' it was all said in a scared / hushed up type of way. i know it sounds all jumbled up but keep in mind what i'm talking of happened when i was probably about 7-8 yrs. old and they thought i could not hear them. my grandmother used to do some type of 'dance' around a peach tree in their backyard. the last time i saw that was when i was really young. by the time i was old enough to ask and recieve an answer she had become a baptist, and had passed away. so mainly i'm asking if that is something you all have ever heard of? i have tried to find it on the internet but i can't find anything.

context would help, like dancing around a peach tree, could of been some sabbat, like it was Beltane and the tree had blossoms. might of been something else, i know of people who dance around trees for fun, sometimes it's related to a spell or ritual, others they just felt like dancing near or around something.

the table could of been an old form of channeling spirits. can't remember much about it, but back in the Victorian era, people were obsessed with the afterlife. a common thing was to throw a party where you would unwrap a mummy, or have a seance, or have a psychic over, or something similar. the table works like a Ouija Board, people would place their fingers lightly on or just above the table, and the spirits would work through them to make the table move. not sure if you've ever seen Long Island Medium [i watch it when i'm bored, it's meh] there's an episode where she goes to a friends house and they have a table that use to be used by their grandmother to channel spirits. try looking on youtube, maybe you could be linked to more information.

it could of bean a spirit of some type, for i have not yet see any one move a table with thought. but i have bean in some situation that a troubled spirit would shake or shut a door to get some attention. for i live in one of those orb houses that has lots of spirits in it. but i gridded them out of my room so they do not bother me. so a spirit could possibly move a small table to get some attention. it could also be the universes energy that moved the table to. for i have been studying natural magic, in a book entitled "Earth Power" in the book she discusses that the universe could supernatural move certain object for divination purposes to help answer a question or help make a decision. so it could of been something like that that could moved a table or something as well. so that is all i have on that topic.
