At the moment I am working on getting into the University of Phoenix online college. I'll be taking Computer Programming courses with the goal of being a game designer. Because of this for the next few days and then for a few weeks starting on the 23rd of this month I will be very busy; replies to messages may be slow, lessons may be postponed, and forum activity from me may drop. For this I apologize and request your patience.
For those of you who remember my last attempt to get into a college, I tried for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice courses, but was denied the financial aid I required. I set the new goal of being a doctor instead, but haven't had the chance to try for that yet. The online college would require I be on campus for either of my other two goals and so for now I'll settle with computer programming which is still something I enjoy. For this I request your support.
This thread may be posted in a couple of other places on the site as well due to the number of people who may expect lessons and forum activity from me.
Ganbatte Ragnorok! You can do it :D I'll miss seeing you around but I want the best for you. And don't give up on being a doctor (or whatever you want to do in life). You can always transfer colleges, and heck, you might find you are in love with a subject you never woulda guessed.
Thank you, everyone, and I'm not giving up on anything. I'll just be a game designer until I can take the courses for being one of the other things. I may stay a game designer and just use what I learn there for motivation/information in certain types of games. Everything will be as it should be so I'm not worried.
Computer Programming would teach me the base stuff, so most likely I would be working with the coding. I would make one action lead to the possibility of another action rather then give those actions effect. The visual effects would be the job of a graphics designer.
