Hey everyone. I'm not sure if I spelt Rokkatru correctly or not, so sorry if I did.
I was laying in bed last night, and I wass thinking that I've been seeing people say something about this on their profile biography, and I realized I know absolutely nothing about this. I thought maybe I 'd ask what it is in here, sine there's quite a few people knowledgeable in Norse Paganism here.

Rokkatru is not traditional, in one of my previous lives, I was a volva, meaning that I was a vanatru, serving the goddess freyja. Traditionally, gods were gods, be they good or evil, they did their duty, recieved their due and that stuff, the world tree was all balanced and in equalibrium. Then, christians depicted the third pantheon, consisting of Loki, Hela, Surt and the more malevolent gods as evil in nature and deed, the Rokkatru are those who hold strong to the traditional beliefs despite christian influence. They believe that and accept that gods can manifest whatever nature they like, good or evil, but take their due and do what must be done, thinking of the darkness as a part of life, not evil. i was curious, because in that life I died before the christians ha dmuch of an influence.

The term was originally coined by Abby Helasdottir, so looking through here website (at the shadowlight gydja link) may provide the better description desired for what Rokkatru is.
Unlike what oak said, Christians did not come up with Rokkatru. As Vanitys said, Abby Helasdottir first came up with the term for it. It's really the focus on a specific group of deities that tend to be viewed as the chaotic-bunch. They are by no means "evil", as there isn't a "good/evil" spectrum in this kind of practice. I would definitely check out the sites Vainty's suggested.
