Hello! First forum post wooo! But anyways, it's always been a dream of mine to be able to shapeshift into different animals and I've been searching for a way to make that dream come true.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with such spells and could suggest some that might work!

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but magick cannot change you physically. This means no shapeshifting into an animal or changing gender. With dreamwork and astral projection, sure! But in the physical world it cannot be done. The reason for this is because magick works with nature to create changes within the mundane that are already possible. So basically, if it were not already possible without magick, it will not become possible. Magick helps you increase your chances as it is an aid to life.

Syren said it perfectly. Shapeshifting is not possible. You are human, and human you shall always be. End of story. If you have an actual interest in magic, start with the basics and learn what it can and cannot do.
SilentSyren is correct. the closest one can come would be learning about shamanistic practices used to 'step in' to the mindset and perspective of an animal. the intent is to connect with the energies instincts and behaviors of the animal in order to gain personal insight or develop gain a connection with the positive traits of a particular animal like cleverness, insight, patience, etc.
Most often this requires several years of study under a mentor, and at least some level of initiation within the practice. Especially as it is easy for someone to lose their grounding otherwise and fall into fantasy. it takes mental wherewithal and experience. Especially because many of those practices also involve the use of medicinal or hallucinatory herbs to aid in reaching the desired animal/primal mental state.
