Many people like to argue that everybody possesses the gift of psychic Empathy, which is the ability to sense how others feel, gut I do believe that most of the time they think I'm talking about the normal human characteristic of empathy (the ability to empathize with someone).

What they don't realize, and what I did not know before, is that the Empathy I'M talking about is actually called Clairempathy which is basically the same thing as psychic Empathy but focuses more on the Empathic trait of sensing the physical sensations and ailments of another, not just their emotions and feelings.

Here is a proper definition of Clairempathy from the website http://psychicbloggers.com/archives/957:

"Clairempathy is a deeper, more intense ability to actually feel what others feel and to clearly read the energy vibrations of people, places, animals or objects. It is a paranormal or extrasensory form of empathy, because it does not rely on normal sensory clues, such as seeing another person cry, or picking up on someones body language or hearing the emotional tone of their voice."

Clairempaths have been described as emotional or medical "surrogates" due to the fact that they can pick up the emotions and physical ailments of others, directly experiencing what others are feeling.

The gift of Clairempathy has been described by some spiritual seekers as the true or ultimate 'sixth sense'.

So, therefore, for all of you who get perturbed when people compare the psychic Empathy to the human trait of normal empathy, now you have the proper name and evidence to show for it.

A lot of you also think that Clairempathy is a common gift in people, when in reality it's not actually all that common.

I support this thread. What is more common is the use of psychic ability to enhance physical senses in perceiving something, though not seen as psychic by most people.

I've heard of this before most clairempathists don't like going out cause they feel emotionally connected to people, for example if people are feeling angry or emotionally distressed that negative energy gets transferred to them hence why they stay indoors but the most experienced can control the emotions better :)

I have something to say to this.My best friend, is kinda like a clairempath except she only has this connection with me.What happens is that she can tell when im feeling depressed or angry. She can also tell when im lying. The most amazing part though is that when i have pain she takes it away, but at the cost of her feeling it. Also i wanted to say that i dont think that i have the psychic part of empathy but what i can do is sort of influence others emotions. In other words if someone is really sad I will normally talk to them, and all the while i am giveing off positive energy and just a happy feeling with hopes of them feeling better. For the most part it works and they are happier but i also get drowsy and a little down.

Ok, let's accept clairempathy. Fine. Of all the 'empaths' I've come across, they all complain and whine all the time. They simply cannot cope. They have ghastly lives. It seems to be a disability, not a gift. What exactly is the point of it?
