Bread of Luck

This ritual derives from petitions to the orisha Babalu-Aye, believed to bring good luck

1. Nail a slice of bread behind the front door

2. Fasten a purple ribbon to the nail

3. Replace as soon as the bread begins to rot or deteriorate, burning the old slice
