I'm Vilhjalmr. I'm both a scientist and an occultist - chemistry and magical history are my two main interests, but just about everything out there has received my attention at one time or another. I like to think I'm fairly well-educated in both areas, so if anyone needs help I'm always willing.

I'm not sure how common the combination of scientist and occultist is, but it shouldn't be that rare. People tend to think that magic and science are opposed, but science is just the search for truth; and if the truth is that magic works, science will find out. Magic is just the search for truth, too, but of a different kind. I find that they complement each other perfectly.

I look forward to engaging in dialogue with the community about matters both mundane and occult; there's always more to learn! I hope to start an enchanting business on the side, too; I see so many frauds advertising, I figured there should be at least one genuine magician willing to help people out. I plan to give a free sample to a members or two here, so we can see if my practice has yielded fruit.
