Many view the Nauthiz rune as a restrictive rune. Through my own workings I came to the understanding that this is not the case.
Nauthiz - need & or hardship.
In my own experiences, this is a rune of evolution. One does not progress unless it is through conflict, struggle, & hardships. That?s one of the reasons the ancient Norse knew that war was necessary. ( One cannot evolve unless it is through conflict. )
I?m sure everyone?s heard the saying ? hard times make stronger men.? If your always staying within your comfort zone & never challenging yourself you become frozen ( referencing the Isa rune ) and to many in the occult community, frozen is stagnating, which equals death. If your not moving forward, your falling backwards.
