The United States of America is a nation united by democracy and The American Dream. The Constitution of the United States delegates political power to voters. Voters choose representatives by voting. Voters choose leaders by voting. Each state has a governor. Each city has a mayor. Each state is represented by a house delegate and a senate delegate. Delegates from the house and senate work in the capitol. They vote on bills. Bills are proposals. Delegates may design a bill to govern trade, tax, national defense, health care, education, and the environment. A bill that passes and receives enough votes then goes to the president of the United States. However, both the house and the senate must approve a bill before passing it on to the president. The president can review the bill and decide to approve the bill or reject the bill. If the president rejects the bill by veto then the bill is sent back to the house and senate for review. There senators and representatives may edit or modify the bill. They may pass the bill to the president again for review. The president may accept the bill or reject the bill. If the president accepts the bill then the bill becomes a law. Laws in the United States are designed to protect the welfare and safety of the people, the citizens, and the voters. Voters also vote for presidential candidates who periodically bid for presidential election. Most politicians must be residents and have lived in the United States for a certain number of years, but in some cases politicians must have actually been born in the country and lived in the country all of their lives. The Judicial Branch of Government reviews laws and policies, and votes on amendments to laws if necessary. The Executive Branch of Government protects the Legislature and the laws, monitors the election process, and does the work to ensure that laws are observed. There are fifty states in the United States of America. Each state has a governor, mayors, and representatives for the house and senate. The Electoral College is the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Electoral College votes for presidential candidates as well. Citizens vote for their choice of leaders as well as the Electoral College, because each person and each state is fairly represented. The Education system in America enables each citizen to learn and graduate. Graduates have special skills and make high salaries. Special skills come from education. Graduates enjoy a better standard of living, are smarter, and are stronger than before. Graduates do contribute to the success of the modern world by solving problems, teaching, designing architecture, promoting health, and promoting education.
