Write the name of the person who's deserved bad luck then use the candle to burn the person name on the paper while chanting:"Near god of the darkness come forth and send me your power of flame to bad luck (say his or her name.)"
In theory this could work, but I doubt it because of the chant. Write their name, focus your intent, visualize your outcome, burn the paper [all of that makes sense] I would reword the chant if you decide to use this [''Lord and Lady hear my cry, let bad luck rain from the sky. May NAME feel misfortune and dread, no resting his/her wicked head'' just an example anyway]
It would personalize it more if you did. Writing ''John'' would narrow it to every John in the world. ''John Smith'' is more direct, and ''John Frankin Smith'' would be most direct of all. If this person has nicknames, this would also help. Be sure to visualize the person [a picture would help] and that will focus it best of all.
Rather simplistic. Charge energy and imagine the person dealing with misfortune before burning the paper. That will make it an actual spell and increase its success. That said, it does depend heavily on the energy you put into it, so your target might stub their toe and rip their bag, but not much else.
