What is the difference between Wicca and witchcraft.

Is it that Wicca is the religion while witchcraft is the studied practice of mystic and magical properties.

That sounds pretty correct. Wicca is a religion and witchcraft is a practice.

I don't know much about Wicca as I don't practice or research it so I'll post an article by Lark about it.

Wicca is a religion founded by Gerald Gardner in the 1940's. Central to the beliefs of Wicca is that the Divine manifests in male and female divinity, the God and the Goddess. And it is tied to the fertility of the Earth and the turning of the cycles called the Wheel of the Year. Wiccans use and practice magic as an integral part of their religion, but they may or may not do actual spellwork.

Witchcraft is a form of magical practice which is not tied to any religion. One can practice witchcraft and be Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, or even of no religion at all. There are some Witches who are also Pagans, but that is not the case for all.
