Here is a simple wish spell I found on a Wicca app I downloaded. Here is the simple wish spell.
Items needed:
Pen/Marker
1 fully grown leaf
Casting instructions:
Write your wish on the leaf. Afterwards place the leaf under a rock or toss it into running water such as a creek. As the leaf whithers, it takes your desires to the earth. In thanks Mother Earth will grant your wish. Has anybody cast a spell like this? Let me know the results.
In my respectful opinion , I don't see this spell actually working. Writing an object is meant to help the witch to focus on charging the object with energy programmed for the intention that is then reflected in the physical world in the form of writing the intent of the object. Simply writing on a leaf by it self will not do anything since the spell does not say to charge the object. This can mislead new witches who haven't learned about energy work yet and lead them to disappointment when they follow this spell to the letter and don't end up getting a result because they did not do any energy work.
The second reason this spell will not work is because if the spell is meant to manifest a desired outcome then the object being bound to the desired outcome whiting away would also bleed into the desired outcome as well, ie: This is why when spells are used where you place an object somewhere in nature you should bury it under a pine tree since they represent immortality as in the immortality of the spell's benefits. Because the pine tree does not lose it's needles during the winter like other tress do with their leaves this symbol is a manifestation of that "immortal-ness" energy which is useful for sealing spells. Once again I do hate having to tell people that "that spell won't work because..." I don't want to make anyone feel that they are being attacked, I just hate to see witches get bad/incomplete information.
