Clockwise vs Counter Cloc

TThis is all new to me and I'm just trying to gain some clarity on this. I read somewhere that counter clockwise is for banishing negativity but also read other conflicting tales.

Clockwise brings things towards you, counterclockwise takes it away. [it's how the energy flows] Granted, it's natural for me to stir things counterclockwise, so I've never noticed much of a difference. Usually, I'll follow the direction while chanting, but ignore it when I'm visualizing [because I don't want to split my focus between that and remembering which way to stir] Try out both methods yourself and see if you notice a difference.

As I was taught and as I practice, I work clockwise to raise the energy for a working, whether that is casting a circle, working a spell, cleansing a space of any other magical enterprise.

And I work counterclockwise when I am banishing energy, whether negative energy or positive. For instance, when I take down a circle, I move in a counterclockwise direction to banish the energy, even though the energy of a circle is not negative.
