True self spell

I want to cast a spell for someone to show themselves in their true colours, not in the fake way they put on. Any ideas on herbs and items I could use? Or does anyone have experience of casting this sort of spell?
Was thinking of using a poppet and feeding it a potion.

A flower I use for spells of this type are snap dragons, seeing through falsehoods.

Glass could be great for this or clear quartz. You would not want to use sharp glass to be safe, clear sea glass could work nice.

Mirrors too could work in a spell of this type.

For spells of this type I normally use an eye opener working utilizing a skull candle. With tweezers I will place snap dragon in the area of the eyes, but you can adapt your own spell.
