Help!! My emotions have been controlling the weather. I know you probably think I'm nuts but I am dead serious. The happier I get, the worse the storms are. I got a new crush and then the flood happened in Florida. The storms are getting worse!! How do I stop this?
Don't panic. This is simply coincidence. Your emotions do not control the weather or cause storms to happen. The weather is far bigger than any person or persons can control
I totally get it. When I first started working with my elemental magic, that happened to me too. Just keep practicing and they will eventually stop. Promise!
It isn't likely the original poster will see your response here.
Weather magic as well works differently from what the thread starter describes.
The weather isn't likely to change on the whims of an individual's feelings. It takes quite a lot of energy usually from several people focusing to see a slight change in weather patterns. And, that is if one subscribes to such beliefs.
One individual may be able to change a pattern slightly, using a lot of energy. Singularly or within a group, the energy required to change such things is enormous.
As stated feeling an emotion is not enough to control the weather.
Much of weather magic that I have learned is related to utilizing the energy weather creates. In example the energy of a storm during a spell working. There are weather type practitioners whom will plan spell work for days they expect storms to use the energy of the storm to aid in the working.
But do I think if I begin to feel strong sadness that it will rain? No. It isn't a logical belief.
I sail during Summer. When I cast a weather spell it isn't to bring wind. It is to help myself to better deal with whatever weather I am dealt. For better preparedness at sea.
Just because you haven't confirmed that it's happened before doesn't mean it's not possible. Some people's emotions are linked to their magic. Should a person's magic discipline be weather, then they could affect the weather around them with their emotions.
