Magic is real, yes. But shooting ice from one's hands is impossible. Claims require proof, and therein lies a difference between fact and faith.

This is a site for people who believe in magick as part of their religion or spiritual path. Everyone on this site believes in real magick, not fantasy magic. I know this sounds mean or harsh, but the reality of magick is, it's simply an energy source that brings natural change. Real-life witches tap into this natural energy and ask for it to help them bring a desired natural change into their life. [spells are more like ritualized prayers] This energy only affects energy, not the physical, it's also ruled by nature and cannot contradict it. So, when you cast a love spell, you aren't brainwashing your crush, you are charging the energy fields around you to vibrate at the same frequency as your crush so you're pulled together like magnets. If a spell is too good to be true, it usually is. Magick cannot contradict nature, which is why we can't have ice powers [humans aren't born with powers since it isn't in our nature, no spell will give us powers] You can work with the element, you can even look into weather spells [they work by charging the natural energy to move weather patterns. it takes a lot of energy and practice] but shooting ice from your hands like in Frozen isn't real. I know it's annoying to hear and hard to dissociate reality from fantasy when we're talking about "magick" but trust me, magick that real witches in real life cast isn't the same as witches from Hoggwarts use.

is there a problem, cause clearly you can not comment on peoples posts saying they are fake. i do not think you would make a good friend.

If someone posts something outside the realm of reality, it is entirely expected that more experienced people will mention it.

This site is not for role play.

I post in many places on the site, not just fake spells. I'm only trying to help new members who don't know the difference between real magick and fantasy magic.

The people who are correcting misinformation aren't people who don't believe in magick, they're real witches who understand magick's limitations. You can absolutely work with the Fair Folk (as long as you've done your research, they're not easy to work with), cast spells, and make potions, but if you want any of that to work you have to be realistic in your expectations, and things such as shooting ice out of your hands isn't possible.

Looking at your profile I can see you just turned 13, so I'm not going to be harsh on you because you're still very young and it's completely normal for you to believe in things such as snow magick in middle school. Rest assured that no one is trying to convince you that magick isn't real, though, they are simply trying to help you understand what magick can do and prevent disappointment when certain things don't work.

I believe magic is real but I have yet to see any sort or form of proof that it is. There is absolutely nothing you can verify about it. No experiments or anything. Seems quite suspicious that the most visible forms of magic (trick spells) are mostly fake, and dismissed by other magic users.
