Charging a wand
By:
Hello, sorry I've been inactive for a long time, life has gotten in the way. I was just wondering something. I have crafted a wand by hand, my little sister helped me find a good sized, thick-enough branch, and I used a relatively small knife to carve a hollow end into the end of it, to which I put super-glue and an aventurine crystal.

How would I go about charging this wand I have crafted? I surely doubt I have done anywhere near a good job, as I have done the work myself, then again, I've seen articles about items coming from nature being more powerful than ones bought in the store.

Could I just place the wand under sunlight? Or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How you charge your wand is entirely up to you. Personally, I pass mine through incense smoke, while focusing on what the wand's indented usage will be (if you plan on using it for specific acts of magic, for example healing magic, focus on that). I then allow the want to rest in the light of the waxing moon. On the night of the full moon, I will do a ritual blessing on the wand. For the blessing, I set up my sacred space, invoke my deity (or spiritual l guides if you work with those as opposed to a deity), chant a blessing or prayer over the wand, and then anoint it with a small amount of essential oil. Now, this is just an example. You could create a method of charging and blessing your wand however you feel would work best for you.
