What are your favourite esbats in order? You can pick a top three or you can order them all if you like. Share a bit about why you like the ones you like so much. :)

In order of first (best) to third.

1. Yule

For me yule is the best time of year, where we get to eat foods and drink beer in an indulging fashion without a care in the world. Lots of family time and sharing of gifts, a time where spirits are high. I like all of the greens and reds, they are my favourite colours.

2. Samhain

Samhain is a spooky time of year and it is the best time for me to watch spooky films, medidate and try to understand how things have gone over the course of the year, and to try and better myself with various plans and ideas.

3. Lughnassadh

Lughnassadh is a time of year where I like to eat lots of seeds and remembering jesus and his role in creation and what he has created, and its a time of reflection on better ways of looking after the world.

A short extract sums it up.

''On this day Lugh or Jesus is at his strongest. He has fully united himself with the Earth and her people -- his bride. It is a time of feasting for the first fruits of the harvest and the wedding.''

I love all of them but my favorite is Samhain. I just feel a real connection to it. I always have. It's such a magical time of year and a time of remembering. I love the spooky decorations and the foods. Carving pumpkins and all the fun Halloween things to do with my children in addition to the traditional witchy things I do to celebrate. So many wonderful memories throughout my life were on Samhain. I feel like Samhain is the true day of the witch so it's just very special for me. I feel like it's our day. :)
