I have been researching Latin chants and came across one that felt right: date tu mi spirituma . It asks for your guides to come to you .... or that's what I thought. This morning I was walking in nature with my dog and chanting it. Shortly after my beautiful dog, 8 years old, died while she was running around looking like she was having fun. Very quick death. Vet said massive heart attack or clot. Devastated does not cover it. I can't help wondering what I might have caused. Any thoughts ?

Magic is guided by our intents. If your intent was to contact your spirit guide, then your magic was not what caused your dog to suffer a heart attack. Correlation is not causation, and I hope that you don't blame yourself for a tragic coincidence.
